Dr. Schilling gave a talk at the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology at the Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA on November 14 entitled “A Developmental Achilles Heel: Mechanotransduction in Tendon Development”.

The Schilling lab had a lab retreat in Grant Grove in Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Park from November 18-20.

A review/methods article co-authored by Drs. Schilling, Sosnik and Nie was accepted as a chapter for Methods in Cell Biology entitled “Visualization of retinoic acid morphogen gradients”.

Dr. Schilling was named the first Francisco Y. Ayala endowed chair in Developmental and Cell Biology on March 3 at the Bio Sci faculty retreat.
